HOME PARADE 2006
Several of my paintings (folk art-cows and contemporary
art) were on display at one of the houses participating in
the Madison Area Builders Association's Parade of Homes.
The Madison Area Builders Association's
Parade of Homes, which originated in 1950, is a true building
showcase, providing the public with an opportunity to view
quality construction and new trends in home design, furnishings
and products.
Nearly 60,000 persons attend this Dane County
summer tradition. The event was held from June 10
till June 25, 2006.

"Butterfly on a Sunflower"
With this painting
I started a series World of Beauty.
I decided to paint this series for my mom about a
month ago. She broke her leg at that time, and she
lives far away from me, so I couldn’t come
visit her right away. It was really hard for me not
to be with my mom… I spoke with her on the
phone and I asked her what she would like me to paint… but
she just said to do what I feel… I remembered
that when I was a child I was fascinated by how a
caterpillar turns into a beautiful butterfly. It
takes time for it to happen. And the healing process
for my mom also takes time – she still needs
to have a cast till the end of May. Maybe that’s
why I decided to paint a butterfly – it’s
like I know everything will be OK with my mom, we
just need to wait. And I will be visiting her soon,
and I know we’ll have a wonderful time together!
My Butterfly is hand painted in acrylic on gallery
wrap style canvas.
